Here at Central you’ll find a friendly mix of college students and townfolk, young and old, from a variety of nationalities and ethnic backgrounds-in fact, a pretty good reflection of the Athens community as a whole.

Lottridge Food Pantry
We will be going to the Lottridge Food Pantry every Wednesday in July and August. We will be sorting food, helping customers shop and building relationships with the customers. There will be two shifts: one from 9:30 to 12:30 and the other from 12:30 to 3:30. Meet at the church at 9:30 or 12:30 to carpool.

Lottridge School Supplies
In addition to supplying food, the food pantry at Lottridge provides school supplies. If you would like to help meet the needs of some of the area children, buy supplies that would be appropriate for students in any grade from kindergarten through high school, and bring them to Central. We will take them to the food pantry for distribution.

Special Events Childcare Team
Do you love to spend time with children but can't commit to Sunday morning service opportunities? Join the special events childcare ministry team! We provide care to young children so parents have the oppportunity to participate in special services and events throughout the year. Contact Serena Wolfe if you are interested.

Operation Christmas Child Trip
We are in the planning phase for a trip to the Charlotte, NC processing center. We will leave early on Friday, December 3 and return to Athens on Sunday, December 5. Contact Alvin adn Mary Ann Hopple at mary.ann.hopple (at) gmail.com for more information.

Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Prep
It's time to start your shoeboxes! There are some great prices on school supp-lies now, so pick some up for your own box and buy a few extras for the boxes that the church packs together.
